Hello Shweta,

I can understand being in a new generation like me even you feel that technology should be a part of Indian education but only bringing in the technology in urban areas wont help it must be a part of rural areas too then only as a whole we can see India Shining in the field of education.

Shweta I would like to share some information with you that there are some places in rural areas where the use of technology is been made. In Arpora, (Goa)there are some communities that help schools in using technology. They provide computers to the students at a very low cost upto four to five thousand, so that they can have assess to technology.

Hello Shweta!
I partially agree to u. I think use of technolgy is ofcourse important in Technology, but we shoud not make use of technology like virtual classroom for training children upto 8 yrs.
Children from these age group should know much about the natural phenomenon, they should need to explore the things in real life not virtually.

I dunn think traditional classroom has become outdated but yes! the blackboard method certainly has! I somehow happen to think that face to face situation with a blend of technology can definately facilitate better learning..
yes! technology stepping into arena of education has made process of learning an easily accessible and a convenient process...one needn't attend the classroom to learn!

Technology is been used in the education field from olden days. As technology changes, so do the educational needs of children.Today's students spend time in chat rooms, on the cell phone, and get help on their homework online. They are multi-taskers for sure.So i feel that technology is helping the children/students to enhance their knowledge..

We tend to think that computer is the only option for making teaching-learning process effective, especially in today's world. I think, 'technology' is not limited to computer. 'Technology' can be anything from a hi-fi animation, a beautiful movie (educational of course), a simulation, an interactive game, a multimedia computer aided application, or it also could be a simple flash-card game, a group activity, a colourful chart, or even a simple OHP transparency. The bottomline is that you being a teacher or an instructor, you need to be creative enough to make teaching effective, interesting, motivating and engaging. If the learner is glued to you and what you are teaching and your learning objective is met, you have won the battle; you have hit the nail on the head.
